"Ancient Answers For Questions of Faith"
Long ago, a King in his great castle was sad.
The population had increased with so many young adults and children that he was glad.
But, so many of the citizens under the care of King Frederick III at the Heidelberg Castle in 1559
did not know the answers for faith and thus life with the greater King, Jesus.
So the king commissioned that two christian writers (Olevianus & Ursinus) design a teaching tool to
increase the love for God and knowledge of his words.
That tool became a series of questions followed by answers known as The Heidelberg Catechism.
Over the next number of Sundays we will be looking at Ancient Answers For Questions of Faith
and tracing the historic truths gleaned from Scripture in answer to my quest to grow in faith.
